In 1995, Harvard Professor Michael Porter took center stage in the inner city economic development debate with a Harvard Business Review article in which he touted the idea of a competitive inner city. In the article, he detailed ways in which the inner could utilize its inherent "comparative advantage" to promote entrepreneurship and development. This site gives a brief review of Porter's model for inner city revitalization as well as links to resources and organizations related to contemporary issues and strategies surrounding inner city revitalization and development.
